Pioneering Teesside insurance broker makes million-pound property investment

"This is a great opportunity, not just for Stockton, but also for Tees Valley."
Cllr Bob Cook, Leader of Stockton Borough Council

UKinsuranceNET.com, a pioneering Tees Valley-based internet insurance Broker, has invested over a million in purchasing and fitting out  new, state-of-the-art premises.

The firm, which was established in 2000 in Darlington, has moved to new premises in Stockton on Tees as part of the investment, and is now headquartered in a 6,000 square-foot office on Preston Farm.

The new office was officially opened on 13 March 2019 by Councillor Bob Cook, at a celebration which welcomed more than 100 guests from the Tees Valley and wider business community.

UKinsuranceNET is an online insurance broker, which specialises in both standard and bespoke products for landlords’ insurance, unoccupied property insurance, home and property protection products for both residential and commercial property.

Managing Director Steve Bradley, one of the founders of UKinsuranceNET, completed a Management Buyout (MBO) of the firm in December 2013 along with Suzanne Eeles, Operations Director, and Paul Meehan, who joined as the company’s Chair. The MBO was completed with the support of Angus Allan, Corporate Finance Partner at Clive Owen LLP.

Steve Bradley said: “Since UKinsuranceNET launched, we have always been early adopters of new technology, and ahead of the curve when it comes to both internal and customer facing systems. This includes our online multi quote facility that provides policies from a panel of leading UK Insurers.

It is a fundamental part of our business strategy to invest in innovative projects and technologies that will provide our customers with exceptional levels of service and   with over 90% of our customers renewing their policies each year, this strategy is working.

“As a firm that started out in Darlington, and has recently moved to Stockton on Tees, we are at the heart of the Tees Valley business community, and we are demonstrating our commitment to the region by making such a significant investment in our business.”

Cllr. Bob Cook, Leader of Stockton Borough Council, opened the new premises, and speaking at the event said: “I’m always grateful to companies that make Stockton their business address. We’ve been trying to support firms since I became leader, even before that, because we realise that the more businesses we support, the more jobs will be created.

“This is a great opportunity, not just for Stockton, but also for Tees Valley.”

This new office will also drive the next phase of UKinsuranceNET’s growth and opens up a number of additional opportunities to develop the business through growth and acquisition.
