MBE Leeds Expo to feature Bank of England keynote speech

Mortgage Business Expo (MBE) Leeds is now open for brokers, IFAs and financial intermediaries to register for the event on 25th April at the Royal Armouries.

CPD accredited seminars will also feature keynote speeches by William Holman of the Bank of England, Roger Evans of Aldermore and Charles Haresnape of Gatehouse Bank. Between them they will deliver insights into the economic outlook and the opportunities for financial intermediaries and lenders in an ever-changing and fast-paced finance industry. Charles Haresnape will be discussing the demand for Shariah finance.

The Expo will also feature two panel debates with market-leading experts and influencers – a specialist lending discussion and a fintech panel on open banking and GDPR. Support from exhibitors remains strong for the Leeds Expo. Aldermore will be the official MBE Knowledge Partner and Bath Building Society the official sponsor.

Other companies such as Together Money, Masthaven, Clever Lending, 360 Dotnet, Vida Homeloans, Pepper Money and other major financial companies are lined up to exhibit at the event.

The MBE is the longest established and the most well respected Expos, and due to the ongoing success of the Leeds Expo, they return to the Royal Armouries. It’s the ideal place for finance professionals to meet with lenders, retirement planning companies and specialist providers of commercial and bridging finance for property development.

Registration for visitors is free and they will have the opportunity to directly discuss the finance and planning needs for their clients with major financial brands such as building societies, specialist lenders, retirement planning providers and industry bodies such as the Financial Intermediary and Brokers Association (FIBA) and the Society of Mortgage Professionals.

Mike Mikunda, from MBE commented: “We are delighted to be returning to Leeds for another Expo in Yorkshire as there are so many bridging and commercial lenders servicing the region and supplying much-needed property and development funding to the thriving broker and IFA market. We are delighted to have high profile speakers from the Bank of England and the newly-formed FIBA providing market insights. The Expo is gearing up to be another terrific event.

“With a strong finance community in Yorkshire, it will be beneficial for brokers, IFAs and introducers to talk directly with specialist lenders and service providers about their latest products. It’s going to be a very well attended Expo and I would encourage those in the region involved in finance to register for free now.”
