UK's First Specialist Care Business Brokerage Launched

Intelligent Care set to revolutionise the way that care businesses are sold and acquired in the UK.

UK's First Specialist Care Business Brokerage Launched

"Using my first-hand experience and expertise, I will be heading up our dedicated care department. Our expert advice, industry knowledge and contacts ensure a smooth transaction."
Andy Macpherson, Commercial Director

Today sees the launch of Intelligent Care – a specialist child and healthcare business broker providing a bespoke management service for care business owners and buyers from Leeds-based Intelligent Group.

The care industry is worth approximately £50bn, and although this figure is set to rise considerably in the next five years, no dedicated care business brokerages currently exist. Intelligent Care aims to remedy this, by putting buyers and sellers in the care industry together.

With over 10,000 registered buyers looking for care businesses, Intelligent Care are hoping to revolutionise the way that care businesses are sold and acquired in the UK and help more care business owners to achieve a sale. Using the expertise of their Leeds-based team the company will deliver a service that has been developed for care business owners, by care business owners.

Andy Macpherson will be heading up the dedicated care department as Commercial Director at Intelligent Care, and is bringing a wealth of experience to the role. Andy successfully sold his own care business in 2016 and, before working in the care industry, also spent over 10 years in the business transfer industry.

Embarking on the sale process can be daunting,” explains Andy. “Most brokers have adopted the ‘one size fits all’ approach, much to the surprise of business owners that have signed up to receive a bespoke service. This is certainly not the service people should be expecting, and is not what business owners have paid their hard-earned cash for.”

The care industry is an attractive marketplace for first time buyers looking to enter the market, as well as experienced investors with capital. Child and healthcare providers continue to receive government backing, as demonstrated by the recent increase in free childcare for 3 and 4-year olds across England. Many high street banks have also rewritten or improved lending policies towards the care sector, growing the pool of acquisitive funded buyers.

Using the first-hand experience and expertise of the team, Intelligent Care will use their expert advice, industry knowledge and contacts to ensure a smooth transaction that maximises the sale value for care business owners across the UK.
